YWAM Ships Kona, operating in PNG, in the last three years has planted a YWAM Base permanently in Madang town. Much has been accomplished with a 50-year lease on a dock, and warehouse facility that is being transformed in to an orality training center assisting our translation movement in YWAM. Here are a few of the plans underway.
The translation movement is receiving wonderful traction from the local elders, chiefs and pastors. This picture is 100 of them gathered and committing to further the work on 9 Mother Tongue Oral Translations this year alone. Currently there are 42 staff, and many teams working hard, over 100 of them will be on site next week.
We would value your prayers as we grow, rent more housing, being the Orality Center build out and prepare to receive the M/V YWAM Liberty at our very first privately secured dock.
We have made a commitment to do 33 languages from mother tongue speakers who currently do not have a single verse of scripture available. We are receiving our 4th outreach of trained Oral Bible Translation graduates, next week. This one from Samoa. The previous three schools came from Port YWAM Kona (2), and YWAM Madang (1), with another school being planned for this year.
