In the last few months, YWAM Cap-Haiti had received two outreach teams. One from YWAM Ships Kona and another from YWAM Azua, located in the Dominican Republic.
Both teams were actively involved in different ministries inside the campus, out in the community, and in the city of Cap-Haïtien.
One of their jobs was to help install solar panels and connect all the wires so the base could get electricity 24/7 in the coming weeks. The teams were a great blessing in that process.
The YWAM Ships Kona team initiated a big repairing project on the neighborhood road which lead to a community collaboration. The people in the community joined hands with them to provide sand and gravel to level up the road.
Apart from the days of working hard on the base, YWAM Cap-Haiti reached out to their community near and far through teachings in schools, sharing Bible stories with the kids and spending time with them.
They also invested in the beautification of the city by doing trash ministry where they went to various parks and cleaned up all the trash and used it as an opportunity to share the gospel and pray for those who sought prayer.
They saw the fruit of their investment after they gathered in a park where they had been to earlier. As they were clearing the road of a fallen tree, they were surrounded by a crowd of curious people to whom they shared the gospel.
That day they lead six people to Christ, and many others received prayers for strength and protection.
YWAM Cap – Haiti has opened up its campus doors in December 2017 for the neighborhood community to come worship and hear the word of the Lord.
The teams have played a great part in taking this opportunity in attracting the members of the community through their personal invitations, skits, dramas, and words of wisdom that they were able to share.
